Fable 2 Thread

Does anyone know how to delete a character?
I confess...I have not read the Log Book or the options menu, there ius nothing in the manual.
 
Sigh, BTGames have no idea when the CE will be available :(
 
just want to know where I find out the numerical value of my health :$

So what kind of characters are you building? I'm focusing on goody too shoes swashbuckling spellcaster. He's a married virgin, cuz every time he goes to visit the wife he's on some darn mission to save the world and won't be distracted ... :blush:

Also going the goody-twoshoes route atm. (although i have cheated ONCE on my fiance ;))
Wrt combat, i'm trying to mix it up as much as possible, so not focusing on one combat style. Anyone done the statue commision side-quest yet? There's an idiotic statue of myself in Rookridge.
Also, it seems some side-quests just appear on my log without me actually having spoken to someone.

I seem to get that as well. I think it's either from reading books or overhearing conversations.

The quests are related to your stature in the community...
I got the bounty-hunter quests after I got a ton of renown.

I am playing a goody 2 shoes...:D
I started a female character but dropped her quite quickly as I was doing the same goody-game as with the 1st...anyone know how to delete a character?
Want to use the fairer sex as the evil, nasty b1tch from hell...:D

As for protected sex - there are 2 reasons why i got a wife:
1) I am playing a goody 2 shoes so had to marry her to get the pure rating...not posting any spoilers...
2) I want a child...a mini hero...:D
 
I checked when it came out, nothing yet. I'm guessing there'll be a title update first.

Anyone else had issues with an unrented house? I bought one and for a long time I haven't gotten any income from it.
 
Hmmm...no issues...you can see if it is occupied by checking the "house" information sheet that you used to buy the house.
It will state who the occupier is etc...
Trust me once you have 2 houses on the market, you can make some serious cash fast...I played last night and I was on 147 000+ gold after I stopped playing at 45 000 gold.

I strongly suggest that you buy shops though. You get about a 50% discount immediately due to the renown etc and also that you own the store.
As you spend more and more cash at the shops they are able to afford better goods. I am able to purchase Master arms at all of the weapon traders and the smithy shop at Bowerstone which I now own and my discount is about 50% which equals to 10 000 gold for a master turret rifle. :D

The other shop that I purchased and highly recommend is the apothecary.
You will get major discounts for all discounts due to your renown and the fact that you own it.
This means immediately that you get cheap XP/Skill etc .potions to upgrade quite quickly but also ensure that you will nto have any scars due to the cheap Revival Potions.

Also check the sales if you own the shops there are sales you can look at 75% discount on those items, that lovely pistol you have been eyeing is now very affordable!
 
Oh, I discovered two important things:

1. Apparently shops don't make income when the box is off, only rent. This is unconfirmed by me but I've seen it mentioned a few times.

2. You get buffs for sleeping in your own house. If you read the blurb on each property there's a bit at the bottom and yo get that each time you sleep there.
 
O.K. after reading all the reviews on Fable 2... I finally bought it today and looking forward to playing tonight :)
 
Hmmm...I am going to shop around today for another home or two or three...need to go and see what I can buy...there are the tailors and the stylists, maybe they will get more clothes if I shop there...
 
So how far are you guys with the "find the 3 heroes" thing? Found the first one and will prob mess around a bit before going for the 2nd hero.
 
Found the 1st (she is hilarious and scary at the same time) and started the quest for the 2nd...
The 2nd hero quest allows for some great levelling up as there are a ton of fights...the 2nd hero quest just reminds me how great this game is...spectacular writing and great living world!

I am questing a bit now, just finished defending the temple of light...
