Anyone else find this game a little short?

Maybe I'm used to playing for 20 hours and only getting 20% complete, as in GTA4 ...

same here. but i guess with the sidequests and achievements it can sap the time for completion junkies

How much longer? *wink* *wink*

Done already ;)

But as someone suggested I'm going to try a few more sub-quests and things on the side. I finished it in 17 hours - that was taking my time and doing many subquests in that time. I hear you can do the main game in 12 hours.

As mentioned, in GTA4 after 17 hours I was probbably sitting at 15 hours or so!

I've heard people with Oblivion talk about insane numbers of hours as well!

I just expected more ;)

And I don't trade my games ; they're my babies ... hehe

Yeah the game was a bit short, even with the sidequests.

Anyone else found the ending disappointing?

Gimme! Gimme!

Yeah, trust me, Oblivion doesn't get its name for nothing. You'll be playing till Oblivion... lol. Ok, I'm tired stop looking at me like that!

I was expecting more in terms of story.

~ SPOILERS ~

The ending was all well and I don't really see the need for a big battle at the end, as many are griping for, though, what was disappointing was Theresa. From the start I had suspected her and throughout the game she seemed to be the most intriguing character. Why would some blind mage want to take down Lucien. She isn't some philanthropist or perhaps she is with some play on 'Mother Theresa'. Nevertheless, my initial guess was that she wanted control of something in Lucien's possession, something that only the Heroes could get and it turned out to be the Spire. Something I figured once I left the Spire for the first time.
But, here's the problem. In the ending she practically mocks you, after you make your decision, by saying, "The world is yours, but the Spire is mine. Begone!"
That's it. There's no allusion as to what she would do with it, nothing, thus leaving me quite disappointed. The Spire is the epitome of power in the game.
I sure hope this shortfall is augmented by DLC or something.

It was helluva short, I keep going back though just to get more money. I've bought the castle and own pretty much every shop in the major towns.

One more thing, it's a bit of a spoiler (highlight the text below) but it's something to consider when you finish the game.

At the end of the game you're offered three cards, one will revive your loved ones, one will give you lots of money and the other will give you the respect of everyone. Choose the card that gives your loved ones back, your dog is shot in the section just before the end and if you've still got treasure to collect or more of those archaeologist missions they are impossible without the dog.

Mass Effect has probably got the the most game for your money that I've ever played.

Way too short and the ending is ass.

Cool game until the end, though...

Careful on the spoilers there :p

There is already DLC on the way for end of Jan. It was supposed to be out in December already but got held back for polishing.

DLC. Lovely.

Sorry for the sloppy post earlier. Was a quick cut and paste from another forum I posted on.
