Facebook changes spark complaints online

haha why doesn't everyone just complain about something that is free and their personal choice to use.

I hated it at first, because really didn't know how to check recent posts. But actually used to it now and its pretty nice.

facebook is blocked at work during working hours and i don't have the internets at home. i mostly use my phone to fiddle with facebook, so i never know what people are complaining about.

although, their mobile site is often changing and is fairly annoying sometimes.

however, i'm on google+, but i have no friends there. :(

fell like stock broker..

With all the tickers streaming ....looks like indices on a stock exchanges....as always, irritation at first, but will become the norm soon....but not moving to +1

At the least they could give their users the option to use either the old look, or move with the new design.

I think people forget that about a year ago Facebook only had one main news feed. When they split it into two there was much complaining. Now that they are switching back to essentially the way it was before, I don't understand why people are complaining again??? I actually find it better to have only one News Feed. The most popular stuff is at the top, but all the other stuff is further down below. It's great.

But anyway, Facebook's timing could not have been worse to make this change right at the time when Google Plus is thrown open to everybody. There was a flurry of new sign ups on Google Plus yesterday. I think I added about ten people.

If people would have just taken the time to learn how subscribers and subscriptions work, they'd realise that this is easily one of the best changes Facebook has made since allowing you to block apps entirely.

I haven't been able to see any posts from my mom for the past year on account of there being nothing but zynga crap all over her wall, but now I can head there and actually see what she's saying for a change.

Similarly, people can now subscribe to specific news from friends, such as new photo uploads (which is great for those using their Facebook page as an auxiliary output for photography or other visual art oriented 'works'), for group news without getting spammed every time someone posts a comment on a group's wall, things like that.

And it's not like you can't prevent people from getting certain updates from you automatically.

ALL the other complaints are about privacy, yet people don't realise that it's always been that people could go onto your profile to stalk you as they pleased; at least until the first waves of privacy settings got onto Facebook.

tl;dr people are complaining without understanding what they're complaining about, and they should be happy about what they're complaining about, they're just too stupid/short-sighted to understand why

Barring all that, I think that this about sums it up:
