Facebook gets Bing search

Microsoft said Friday that Bing will power Internet searches for Facebook's 400 million members in an arrangement that returns control of display advertising to the social-networking service.

FLT!! why the hell would I want to use  bing

Love bing... love it love it love it. Although they still have a little catch up to play when it comes to obscure searches. Not enough results sometimes.

/wonders how people with cool nicks can use such rubbish search engines

Bing isn't that bad. They are really giving Google a run for their money.

Which is good. Competition is always a plus for the consumer.

Google has been innovating the products for ever, wile they where the top of the market and now, and its free, So I don't see the positive effect of the competition....

They have also been mining your data like crazy. Bing's privacy policy is a lot less restrictive than Google's.

I feel sorry for everybody that uses bing.

Even just, when somebody asks or something, i tell them to google it. I cant tell them to bing it. wtf? To me its just another microsoft fail

I don't find Bing's index to be anywhere near Google's level. I have over 30 websites and when I checked how much of it is indexed in Bing it's only about half that of Google. Many sites only have the 1st page indexed. I get about 2 000 hits a day from people searching via Google and only a few from Bing.

Must admit as much as I despise the Microsoft megalith, Bing is quite a sweet search engine, it's refreshing when searching for technical specifications or reviews on a product you get technical specifications or reviews, not people trying to sell you the product and submit reviews and/or technical specifications.
