Brian Lewis was sentenced to life in prison and ordered he serve a minimum tariff of 14 years, less the time spent in custody on remand.

The 31-year-old first stabbed and then strangled Hayley Jones to death at the home they shared with their four children.

The trial heard Ms Jones had changed her status to 'single' on the social networking website less than two weeks before the killing.

After murdering her, Lewis then fled the scene and drove to a police station in the early hours of March 12 this year.

Nope, took 2 weeks. So probably loads of fighting inbetween. My bet is the woman then said something along the lines of "Your penis is the tiniest I've ever had, thank god I'm ****ing your friend with his huge monster dick"

And then subsequently got strangled... women really know how to push men's buttons...

Wow I rate he was psychopathic to begin with. His wife's long hours on FB only served to provoke him. She pushed him over the edge, but I reckon he was already teetering to begin with.

Here's his excuse as to how he 'accidentally' stabbed her...

Lewis claimed he was trimming his finger nails with a kitchen knife when he tried to "touch" his 26-year-old partner's sleeping bag with the tip of the blade out of frustration after a row.

The knife pierced two sleeping bags and went through three layers of clothing Ms Jones had been wearing while trying to sleep on a sofa.

Her ribcage prevented it from penetrating any further.

Whoops!

Holy **** that's one major "oops" trying to TOUCH her with the tip of the knife. Lol

And how ****ing red neck must he be.... trimming his nails with a kitchen knife. .... retard

Nothing good ever comes from playing "Just put the tip in". :(

I wonder if they can integrate this in to stats updates ?

Jack has just been killed buy Jill

More sensationalist media cr@p!

"Facebook" murder the headline says and then the article goes on to say that he was annoyed with the amount of time his wife spent online! It was not a Facebook murder but a breakdown of a marriage and immense jealousy murder!

EDIT : Aha, I see DJ has stated as much already. Facebook murder makes it seems like he befriended the person on Facebook and then killed her.

Or killed her through Facebook - sorry, I just had weird thoughts of someone reaching through the PC screen and pulling a knife on you... :p

Very sensationalist headline. I think we should ban cars.. cause theyre the real problem here. Not facebook. If it wasnt for cars this murder may never have happened. I hope you can see where Im going with my silly comment.
