Facebook privacy lawsuit

Five Facebook users have filed a civil lawsuit in California alleging that the social networking site violates state privacy laws and misleads people about how their personal information is used.

I was so upset with facebook after my wedding everyone who was there just posted pics of my wedding good or bad on facebook. You know its something personal and special in fact everything is personal and then who gives other people the right to do that? its sick and I hate facebook. We should have a choice of who posts pics of you and who not. If you don’t give permission of a pic it should get deleted by facebook before anyone is allowed to view it.

I also want to sue them!

// Canda are in the process of a similar suit against Facebook with regards to that countries privacy laws

facebook is the medium. they can't stop you from uploading a photo, the best they can do is remove it once you've brought it up. then, you're not allowed to remove photos that you don't like, they have to remove photos that are disgusting and harmful. if there was no facebook, they're email it to everyone, or upload it to myspace, or blogger, or share it at work with other friends.

when you JOIN Facebook, they have a Terms of Agreement. if you want your stuff private, you have to set it private. it's like sueing a chemical company for killing your child when you left the poison lying around. if you don't want people to see your telephone number, don't put it up. how hard is that?
