Facebook is legit mind control, they will not let you control what you see(if you don't have purity with wrestles back a bit of control but not perfect and has some caveats + needs a bit of skillz to use).
Case in point is a simple common sense thing like viewing your timeline as a real timeline, they removed that functionality because Fb claims they want to make the feed more "relevant" with their super amazing algorithm aka control what you see and use that control to be enable them to show ads at the perfect moment in the stream.
The worst in groups or classifieds listings, where you really want to see it in a timeline, they have some lame override which requires you to click on a switch on every single page to view a so called "Recent activity", even then its confusing as hell whether it is real timeline or some mangled timeline mixed with "relevant" posts.
If only somehow an open source Facebook type thing would gain traction, I'd jump ship in half a sec.
