Facebook Users Said No to Tracking

When users get asked on iPhone devices if they’d like to be tracked, the vast majority say no. That’s worrying Facebook Inc.’s advertisers, who are losing access to some of their most valuable targeting data and have already seen a decrease in effectiveness of their ads.

Since I'm not on/ using Facebook, Wapp or any other of their stuff, Why should they be allowed to cookie me or track me in any way....it's no different to stalking.

This is bad. Advertisers may have to start working for a living, like they did before targeted ads.

All software companies collect some form of data, including Apple themselves.... however, Apple is one of the fewer companies that I feel you are paying for the product itself, instead of buying something that's going to be subsidised by the marketing potential data it grabs from you and effectively makes you the product.

Yup, Apple doesn't depend so much on advertising as compared to FB or Twitter, for example.

Lol, so Facebook's little sad message trying to convince you to allow them track you failed.
Colour me surprised.
