Greenpeace's attacks on Japanese whaling ships have far surpasssed media stunts and have cost them their own lives. Please tell me how any attack against GP is a noble cause?
Edit: I am a member of greenpeace since 2003. It would be wise of you not to take media bait so easily. We do our bit where it counts. Most Facebook users do not have the luxury of that claim sitting behind their keyboards...

First of all, but dont get me wrong here. I have absolutely nothing against GP. They do have good intentions, but, here is my opinion:
GP was never attacked. In fact, they decided to attack Facebook. You should read the article.
I think GP was totally wrong in taking on Facebook here, as GP is violating what it is preaching. Before they attacked FB they should have made sure their own facilities comply to what they are believing in. Theirs was in fact worse that Facebook's.
I just feel that one should never through stones in a glass house. Also, make sure you pick your battles wisely.
I can only agree with you here. GP exists in nearly every country. Each with their own board and representatives. The risk of one of them launching an attack against an institution like FB is a risk which 99% of our members would not condone. These servers in Northern Virginia are a classic example of a tiny part of GP which needs to be addressed. Why I said earlier than people should not be so eager to take the bait is that we have servers all over the world, dozens upon dozens which fall well under the footprint ratio. The media has chosen to highlight this discrepency, and for good cause. This is one of them that will be addressed.
Nothxkbi, I am with you here.
The main problem here is that you have two world giants that picked up a public discrepency. It is the same with politicians, the media will dig for dirt until they find it either way. That is why I say that one should always pick your battles well.
qft. A wise man once said: "Only pick a fight you are sure you will win."
Our fight is not just against the media. Its against flesh and blood. The media sit behind their keyboards with their reports at their side, searching google, facebook etc while we give our money, time and lives fighting energy corrupt governments, fighting for our very survival, standing against countries hell beant on exploitation of our natural resources. Where are the media when we fight Japanese whaling ships? Sitting in their comforts back in London behind their keyboards, safe and secure while we are being shot at.
