Fair Policy

Hi guys,jus got onto 4mb uncapped n of course there is fair usage policy on this.Does anyone know of the best way not to get throttled like the measures to take,becoz truthfully speakin on my previous 384 package wold download nonstop.so I want to find out bout things like newsgroups I could n still enjoy the best of both worlds,any help???

They are getting better and better - slowly yet at a steady pace - at cutting down the options we can take to bypass shaping. When you do get something that work, do what everyone should do and keep it to yourself.

And shaping is non-existant on the average uncapped standard account. Let's not beat around the bush and just call it what it is - throttling.

I gues all we can hope for is that Super Company that will rise up and unshape the world, if that's possible? What's the take on using newsgroups,as I hear these do not pose an impact on ISP watchlists???

fair user policy= don't by pass shaping aka , ssl encryption, vpn etc, if you getting max torrent speed during the day, you by passing it

How about newsgroups, how do you go about them, as you will be downloading from a local server which is cheaper and not on the watch dog's list..???

If you're on shaped you're shaped regardless where a server is. And remember they throttle not shape.
(I think local is treated more harshly than international, but I might be wrong)

Edit: I used to get full speed on my 384 all day, but for the last about 3 months no more.

Depends in the ISP, actually. Get a good one then everything's good.
