Saw this on Gumtree, this guy must be violating a whole raft of copyright/intellectual property/trademark laws with his logo correct "recreation".

If it’s 7 out of only 8 made, then it’s probably a rebuilt , not a copy.
 
This same dude is trying to flog an Alfa GTV 3L for R500 000 .
Looks like he is trying to raise the cash before delivery. Dodgy?
 
He does appropriately state it is a recreation/copy.
I don't see the problem, it should only be a problem if he didn't say that amd tried to pass it of as the real thing. Expecting him to misspell ferrari and then everything is okay is stupid.

Its counterfeit, whether you state that fact or not is besides the point. A police raid won't suddenly stop when they realise you have a sign in your store stating "all Gucci, Prada and other high end branded goods we sell are fake".

You should learn the difference between counterfeit and replica or copy. You can have a copy of the Mona Lisa hanging in your living room. You can just not sell it as the real thing, because it's not it's only a copy.

It looks like its a replica of a 250 Gto that sell for a few R100 million so you can be pretty sure that virtually not a single part is legit.

Geuss that's up to ferrari if they want to sell the guy spares to build his replica. Obviously they did.
Price is subjective, if he gets a buyer there's nothing wrong with 2min if it doesn't sell its to much.

He claims its the only one in SA, but pics taken in the UK. Trying to find a buyer before delivery? clearly dodgy.

The Mona Lisa replica print must be either an authorised copy or alternatively the copyright of the original Mona Lisa and the copy that you use to print it needs to be in the public domain, if it's neither then no more to be said, its fake/counterfeit.

In light of the above eye opener, again mentioned solely for the benefit of yours truly, we know the "Ferrari Recreation"(which includes full Ferrari branding it's not just a kit body roughly modelled after a car) is not an authorised copy, hence it is fake/counterfeit.

Fake/counterfeit only points to the fact that a product was not manufactured under authorisation of the rights holder(or if its something that is in the public domain then anyone is authorised to make copies), its got nothing to do with the quality of the goods or whether its a replica or not.

It is something in the public domian. I gaurentee the guy doesn't have ferrari's original plans for the car.

All the Info he had, he got out of the public domain and the original parts he had to buy from ferrari themselves, seeing how scarce the car is ferrari probably knew about the replica when he ordered all the parts, if it is true that all visible parts are pure ferrari.

Nothing wrong with selling a replica/kit car as long as it’s sold as such. Plenty of Shelby’s, Ferrari’s, batmobiles, you name it ... there’s even a dude who created a Lamborghini in his basement.
