I thought I would start a thread on certain elements of Fallout 3 you would like to see corrected, improved, balanced, etc via mods. Basically, this is a Fallout 3 b!tch list.
I've only played the game for about 3 hours, and this is personal preference, but that's what mods are all about.
Revert back to original relationships between SPECIAL Attributes and Skills (e.g. Unarmed based of Strength, Range attack skills based off Perception).
Improve the third person view. I would like something more along the lines of Mass Effect. The suggestions below relate to this:
When weapon is holstered, then character's position is in the middle of the screen (camera behind the back). When gun is drawn, camera is over the shoulder as it is now. I just find the OTS view while plodding around feels awkward.
Diagonal movement anaimations. I hate how your character moonwalks when you move forward-left or forward-right. That's so 1990's.
When you rotate the camera (and not aiming), your character remains facing in the original direction, instead of spining on the spot like Micheal Jackson. Maybe just have his head move to look in the direction.
Instead of a targetting reticle (an ugly one at that), have a targetting circle, like Mass Effect, where the radius of the circle is determined by your accuracy with the weapon.
