Fallout 76

I honestly assumed I'd buy this when it came out. I struggle to believe how badly it's been ****ed up. What's going on in these studios...

Problem started with us, the consumers.
We kept on buying and pre-ordering buggy, half finished products.

Sure there were complaints after purchase, but we purchased all the same.
Why should they spend more time and cash on products when we just buy them anyway?

Fallout 76: Wastelanders seems to have improved the game a lot.

I've bitten the bullet and purchased it. Waiting for it to be added to my Steam account.

It is much better, but do note that you have to reach lvl. 20 to basically start with Wastelanders. It is quick to reach.

This series of games is rightly considered as one of my favorites. I really liked playing Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. But unfortunately, as time goes on, the games get worse. Yes, the studio is working well on the mechanics of the game, but the game itself becomes just boring to play. It's a pity that Fallout 76 turned out the same way...

Had a look, because with NPC's would push me toward actually getting it

Until I saw the videos.
They literally just replaced their current robot-holotape-computer way of giving out quests with NPC's
No character or personality to them.
Just a thing that stands there to give you a go there quest.

Pass.

This may not be the best game, but at least Bethesda is dedicated to it. I wonder whether Zenimax gave them some experienced ESO peeps to bring the game up to a more respectable level,

This is the same recipe developers like Arc has done since they started to make MMOs. Neverwinter Nights, Star Trek, etc. It like Bethesda is moving Fallout76 to be more in line with the traditional MMO mechanics.

It is much better than what is going on with the cremated Anthem, hey, Bioware?

I feel sorry for the alpha testers who paid to test the game.

They should just admit their settlement building mini-game thing is a pile of poop and apologize. That was the first sign they had lost their minds.

I know this game gets a lot of flak but Loot has it for R99 on the PS4 if anyone is looking to get it for your least favourite neice/nephew for Christmas

I'll wait for it when it comes to GP :)

Xbox/MS own Besthesda now so a lot more of their IP's will be coming to GP

It's already on xbox game pass. Installed it, played for about 30 mins and uninstalled.

I won't play anything made by Todd Howard. The man should be making action RPGs, not trying to make Fallouts.

Sadly, I see little possibility that Obsidian will be given a chance to make another Fallout game, or remaster FNV. I don't think Microsoft will want to force Bethesda to give up control over a beloved franchise.
