TO the fallout fans lets see which one do you like and love and which one you lofe the most :D, and your comments on it, personally i played FA2,FAT and now playing FA3, i never liked FAT it had potential, but you had to do story line and was very narrow minded, My still good fav is FA2, short game but had allot in it and was fun to do things, FA3 is also same leauge as FA2, but allot longer (mainly i sure everyone agree with me on this, due to fact you have to run every where unlike n FA2 which had word map when you left area) I played FA it was nice but like FAT i never really fully played it, as it was missing something really:p, so this how i would rate them in order from best to worst :), FA3 9/10, FA2 8/10, FA 6/10, FAT 5/10

I recently started playing Fallout 3. It is fun and I'm very impressed with it, but the constant crash to desktop got me very annoyed. I eventually had to take of the K-Lite codecs and make the paging file 0kb (according to internet advice) and the game played fine.

Then about 3 weeks back I upgraded my PC. Didn't install the game yet as I'm not sure whether I want to go throught this whole story again. Still have my SAve Games though. Might give it a bash again when I'm done with Company of Heroes.

Fallout 3 wins hands down! Fallout's potential come to life with this release and the pureist can say this or that but it took Bethsoft to give fallout the treatment it deserved.

As for running everywhere just like the old ones you can use the map once you've been to a place once. And mine never crashed i didnt even know about the bug maybe i was lucky.

I gave up on Fallout 3, couldn't play 5 min without the game crashing. Its seems iam gonna miss a good game:mad:

I must admit. The patch did help a bit, but I'm cautious of the amount of Windows files it might screw up along the process of getting the game to work.

Would rate the Fallout games a tad different than the OP.

Fallout 1 & 2 was fullblown rpg games with 2 being the best of the two. (great games both) Lots of replays over many years on both the above more so on 2.

Fallout Tactics is basicly more of a squad based strategy game. Excellent game in its own right allthough the die hard fallout fans wanted another Fallout rpg. Could even replay this the other day on my 24" screen and it still looked and played good

Fallout 3 unfortunately had not a lot todo with the above games being a FPS game with only rudimentary rpg elements. I enjoyed a couple of hours of it and then packed it away to not return to it for ever end ever. I am sure if you like Bethesda style after the excellent morrowind with the onset of oblivion this is your cup of tea.

I only bought and played Fallout 3.

It was a very good game, but I got really tired of the same old enemies all the time. Especially supermutants, which seem to be at least 50% of all enemies faced in the game.

It doesn't help that they look like the sort of plastic toy action figures you might find for sale in the bargin bin at Reggies.

So... Good game, but I can't play it through more than once. For replayability, I prefer the Elder Scrolls games.

i loved all of them , i stil think tactics got a bad rap , it was a cool game and i digged the story , fallout 3 is cool as well , got all the dlc`s , i just miss some of the humour was in the old games .

i ran fallout 3 on xp without patch no problem , only got the patch after some of the mods needed it , must be lucky

I thought Fallout 2 was the best in the series. It resonated well with me even though all the pop culture references got annoying. I loved that you started out as a tribal dude with no knowledge of anything and armed with a spear or rusty pistol and ended up this world changing power armoured, guass gun toting legend The ending was great as well. Next is Fallout 3. It captured the hopelessness of the wasteland perfectly. It was solid on my system as well with two hangs throughout the whole game. The ending was terrible though.

Fallout Tactics was brilliant. You just have to keep in mind that it is a tactical combat game and not a traditional RPG.

Fallout 1 was good but it didn't quite capture my imagination like the other games.

If you can handle the technology, Wasteland tells a great story and is the grand daddy of the Fallout series.

finished fallout 3 and LOVED it. I recently downloaded the 3 expansions for it. so when i got time i will be in front of my pc starting Fallout from the start and playing it right through...

i played fallout 3 before farcry2..... and i shouldn't of done that... farcry2 was not good at all... but that is just me..

:D
