Cool. It's for a project thing.

I'm gonna try (with probably limited success) to stick the fan in the wind, and measure the relationship between the increase in wind speed and voltage/current.

What will increase as it spins faster? I assume the voltage will increase, as that is what is used to control fan speed...

Sounds like a cool project....current = Voltage/resistence so im assuming that the current will increase as the voltage increase because the resistence in constant? right?

A cpu fan wont catch any wind... take the blades off and attach a model aeropane blade.

Oh and incase you are trying to get enough power to run stuff... a spinning bike at top speed makes about 680w.

So I dont think that it will do much.

Also put the fan down a tunnel, this will give you a grater windspeed.

Umm, you'll be generating alternating current and the timing between the switch will vary. You'll have to do some soldering to get DC from it.

only if you got a horse pedalling it.
1hp=750w, way beyond what a human can do.680w is just as unbelievable
or you got some over-unity bicycle there:)
how did you get to that figure??
