Hi Guys

The company which I work for, has a server cabinet, with only one pc box, and a monitor in it. It has a view extract fans on the top, with a 30 or something network router.

Do you guys really think it is necessary for the fans to run? What really can over heat?

Depends on the cabinet. Dell and HP for example have rack mounted servers designed to cool from the front and back - no cooling is required from above. If you had a lot of machines in a generic cabinet with glass front and back, then I suppose the fans will help to cool the inside down.

Perhaps just turn the fans on - it should be easy enough to plug them in?
