Far Cry 2 is out

don't get your knickers in a twist .... I was opposing your post in a statement. And 'dosh' has been around for ages .... it certainly isn't part of some 'new dialect'

Btw...Has any1 suffered from the SecuROM software accompanying Far Cry 2 yet (or any other SecuROM game)? I feel that it is my right to install a game as many times i like. In other words, once you have installed the game i.e. 5 times, you can throw R350 in the dust bin?

I hear you can install Far Cry onto WINE in Linux... very easy to flush WINE's C drive... and thus reinstall the game as many times as I like.

I haven’t had any troubles, then again I am not running any emulation software.....Now I don’t know much about this secuROM bable, but what the heck do you mean you can only install the game a certain amount of times? Is that the case?

A game like Dead Space (which i also baught) you can only install 5 times. Far Cry i think alows you 3-4 times only. Its utter BS!!!

Good news! This should help...

Ubisoft has confirmed that the PC its open-world shooter Far Cry 2, which hits alongside the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions on October 31, will use a slightly different configuration of the SecuROM DRM technology found in Spore and Crysis Warhead. Ubisoft forum manager bukowski113 posted the details on the game's official forum:
You have 5 activations on 3 separate PCs.

Uninstalling the game "refunds" an activation. This process is called "revoke", so as long as you complete proper uninstall you will be able to install the game an unlimited number of times on 3 systems.

You can upgrade your computer as many time as you want (using our revoke system)

Ubisoft is committed to the support of our games, and additional activations can be provided.

Ubisoft is committed to the long term support of our games: you'll always be able to play Far Cry 2.

Finished the game this weekend, and what a disappointment.

I finished the game yesterday and I was VERY disappointed with the ending. I couldn't help feeling "What the hell did I do all this for?"
