How do you know this? You think when tied up these people would resist giving all up?

The report on the latest attack claimed the two victims had iron burns over most parts of their bodies. Do I need to explain what is wrong here?

A sweeping and preconceived stereotypical statement. In many of the incidents it has been claimed that the farmers were of no strong political affiliation and had good relations with their workers.

From reading about crime beyond just farm murders. Which report are you referring to?

There you go again. Did or did I not write "The majority of victims happen to be white and may or may not be an accurate reflection of the total number of white and black farmers respectively." --- I do not have the stats, I do not even care that much. You are so caught up in your little preconceived world that you do not absorb what I'm saying anymore (if you ever did). The stats that I do have is that more whites have been victims, and that is reflected by this thread as well, as implied by my previous post: I do not know if it is in congruence with the number of black and white people who are farmers, I don't even care that much.

The men took firearms from their safe and ransacked the house before fleeing on foot. No arrests had been made. Police had opened a case of robbery, assault and attempted murder.

Do you think the safe was open before or after they attacked them with irons? The story seems to indicate it was afterwards. It angers me that these scumbags prey on the elderly, easy, vunerable targets.

I really can't say. The fact that with BOTH individuals most of their body parts were burnt....tells me it wasn't just done to get info on the whereabouts of the safe keys and what not

Yeah but it's not just about them being old....in general a farm, as a target, is a very good idea....as mentioned earlier.
Sometimes these individuals worked for the victim/s or knew them....sometimes not.

AfriForum today renewed its pleas to government to declare farm murders a priority crime and establish specialist units for rural safety. This came after the deaths of Andrew and Loryn Monakane (both 39) who were brutally murdered on their farm Graigmont near Dewetsdorp in the Free State. According to the register kept by AfriForum the Monakanes were the first black farming couple who were murdered in a farm attack in the province.


“This incident is a clear indicator that white South Africans are not the only victims of farm attacks and that government’s attempt to stamp AfriForum’s campaign against farm murders as racial does not carry any weight. Rural areas are unsafe and the refusal of the police to institute proper security aggravates the situation,” said Ian Cameron, Head of Community Safety at AfriForum.

Mr Monakane was shot dead. Mrs Monakane was raped and shot in the face. Media reports stated that she died in her home a day after her release from hospital.
AfriForum says a black farmer from the Eastern Cape and his housekeeper were also murdered earlier this year.

“We would like to establish a cooperative relationship with the new Minister of Police, Nkosinathi Nhleko, to ensure safety in rural areas,” Cameron concluded.

Government couldn't give a toss. The only way they would bat an eyelid is if it were whites doing the killing, and then you can bet your bottom Zim 2.0 dollar that it would be a racial matter.
