Farm Attacks

All those illegal guns in this country, why do you think they where smuggled here in the first place?

Which ones? The ones that the settlers smuggled in or the ones from current times?

Need to tie these perps down and hack them up limb by limb until they confess who or what is motivating them to kill farmers. Gloves have to come off some time.

The ones that where smuggled in to fight 40 years of brutal oppression.

Why 40 years ? Was the practice introduced by the British to ring bells after dark to shove non-whites out of town not repressive, what about Cecil John Rhodes' "Faith in religion is dwindling, faith in race is taking its place". You just have a nice scapegoat that entails a different ethnicity in control and a name attached to a system. Where were the schools, universities and hospitals for blacks during the British Union of South Africa ?

Oh that will be called savage and will be on all news media front pages internationally and used by many to further demonize the white perps in South Africa.

It's also not going to help matters at all. It will only add fuel to the fire.

44 farm murders this year - Afriforum

Johannesburg - There has been 44 farm murders since the beginning of the year, civil rights organisation Afriforum said on Tuesday.

“Since the beginning of 2015, 157 farm attacks occurred while 44 murders were committed during these attacks,” said deputy CEO Ernst Roets.

“AfriForum once again made an appeal to Police Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko to prioritise farm murders.”

He said the latest killing was that of an elderly woman at a game farm in Thabazimbi, Limpopo. Bruno Res, 73, was shot in the arm and his wife Petru, 60, was shot in the head when three people overpowered them on Friday. Petru died at the scene.

Roets said farm murders were a crisis, and accused the police ministry of failing to prioritise the crimes. He stated four reasons why farm attacks needed urgent attention from police.

Johannesburg - Police are questioning a farmworker on Sunday after a Thabazimbi game farmer was robbed and locked in a safe with his dead wife and a guest.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Ronel Otto said that, because of poor reception in the remote area where the couple lived, some details of the murder, which took place on Friday night but was only discovered on Saturday, have been clarified.

Magrieta Petronella Res and her husband Bruno were welcoming a guest at their Matlopi farm in a remote part of the Limpopo bushveld when two people overpowered them.

They demanded the keys to the walk-in safe and locked the three inside, but not before shooting Res in her head and her husband in the arm.

Otto said the safe had no ventilation and Bruno Res bled profusely from the wound to his arm.

He and their guest had to spend until noon on Saturday inside the safe with Magrieta's body until they were freed by visitors who heard them crying out for help.

Bruno Res was taken to a hospital for treatment. Their friend was not injured.

Forensic specialists and trackers with dogs worked the scene and arrested a farmworker who worked on a different farm for being in possession of ammunition.

Police also believe that, based on tracks, four people may have been involved in the robbery and murder.

Five firearms including hunting rifles, a 9mm pistol and a shotgun were stolen.

Robbers burn and rape widow on farm

Durban – A farmer was stabbed, robbed, raped and burnt with a hot iron when she returned home to her farm near Harrismith, police said on Monday.

Police spokesman Sergeant Mmako Mophiring said the woman had attended a meeting and was attacked as she returned home to her farm Oatesdale on Sunday evening.

Two men demanded money and then took the 57-year old widow into the farmhouse and tied her hands up behind her back.

Mohiphiring said when she told them that all she had was the money in her purse they stabbed her in the leg, below the knee and in the shoulder.

He said: “They then took the iron and burnt her several times, very badly.”

She was then dragged to the bedroom where she was then allegedly raped by the two men, who then fled with her white Mahindra bakkie, the cash from her purse and a cellphone.

“We think it was just less than R200, maybe even less than R100,” said Mophiring.

Woman, 58, stabbed, burnt and raped on her Harrismith farm

Bloemfontein - A 58-year-old woman was brutally attacked on her farm in Oatsdale near Harrismith in the Free State after she told two robbers she had no cash on her property.

The woman was stabbed, burnt and raped by her attackers on Sunday, said Sergeant Mmako Mophiring.

She had just arrived at her home in the afternoon when she found the two men on her property. They forced her into the house where they demanded money.

"When she said she had no money, they stabbed her in the leg and on her shoulder. They then also put an iron on her chest. She sustained severe burn wounds," said Mophiring.

The woman was then taken to a room at the back of her house where the two men took turns raping her. She was tied up with a cloth in the room while the pair ransacked the house.

They took the few rands she had in her purse and her cellphones before fleeing in her white Mahindra bakkie.

The woman managed to untie herself and ran to a farm worker's house where she asked for help.

She was taken to a KwaZulu-Natal hospital for treatment.

Police were investigating a case of house robbery, attempted murder and rape.

No arrests have been made.

Friday night, Couple's house emptied into their car by 4 armed robbers who then drove away with it in Kenneth Street, pretoria.

Saturday night, same thing same street (my Mom's house).
4 guys with guns came in, tied them up, demanded to know where the safe/laptop/cash etc is, put anything of value into the car (including their meat for the month, their drinks for the next day, his work tablet he got on Friday, his work and home laptop, cellphone and all the rest.
They left my mothers phone behind (she shoved it into the couch when she saw the guy coming into the house). They were too busy slapping and kicking her each time she tried to speak so she could not tell them where it was.

My mothers birthday and their anniversary was yesterday.

Geesus,

So sorry man. Glad they got out alive and mainly unhurt. Do you think they'll hit that house again or has it now passed? Guess it's time to weigh up the options of relocating.
