Farm Attacks

Couple attacked on Eastern Cape game farm

A couple were attacked on the Hopewell Private Game Reserve outside Nanaga, near Nelson Mandela Bay, on Thursday evening.

The managers of the luxury safari reserve, situated on the R72 between Kenton-on-Sea and Colchester, were beaten and held hostage on the farm by five robbers.

According to police, three of the men were armed with firearms, including a hunting rifle.

Police spokesman Captain Andre Beetge said the married couple were accosted when the 45-year-old man went outside.

“He was taken into the house where they (husband and wife) were assaulted by the suspects who demanded the safe keys and money,” he said.

“The safe was opened and an undisclosed amount of money taken. They also took personal belongings and the couple's two cellphones. The couple was then tied up to chairs and the suspects fled the scene.”

Why is it worth reading?

1. He thinks the fire was criminal, proof that not only white farmers are attacked.
2. He thanks whites, doesn't seem to want land and seems to get along perfectly with them.

Ok thats what I thought and nothing against you, and I understand why you posted that, but it just angers me a bit when people always feel they need to point out skin colour and I believe that is what is wrong in SA. Does it really matter that the farmer is black and the helpers were white?

If you had taken the guys name out and the colour of the helpers it would still have been an awesome story.

Yes, white farmers are being killed on their farms. Yes, black people are being killed in the townships and on farms but at the end of the day it is still a senseless act.

My little rant is over sorry, Im feeling a bit under the weather so nothing against you.

Two women attacked on farm, kidnapped and then dumped

Limpopo police say they are on the trail of two armed suspects who attacked two women on a farm in Roossenekal on Friday afternoon.

Police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the armed suspects entered the house on the farm, held them hostage and proceeded to assault them.

"The suspects managed to drive off with the farm owner's vehicle, taking along the two women," said Ngoepe in a statement.
"The police were notified and reacted swiftly. One of the women was later found dumped along the Lydenburg road about 20 km outside Lydenburg town in the Mpumalanga province and the other one was found in the same town."

I fully agree with you, in the current debate and with the extremes all out and propaganda on both sides, it's good to see things that contradict all this propaganda though, and unfortunately you need to mention race for this (and this is unfortunate because you racialize the debate to deracialize it).

But in the long term, race should not be a thing anymore and become completely irrelevant.

AfriForum asks SAPS to investigate Malema over farm murders
AfriForum has made a formal application to the national police commissioner, General Khehla Sitole, to investigate Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema.

This comes after allegations from a member of a prison gang were received, saying that Malema approached and spoke to the gang member about farm murders.

In a recorded interview with a member of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) and a member of the 28s prison gang, the man claimed Malema promised to help him continue killing farmers when he was released from prison, and that he would ensure that the gang members had balaclavas, weapons and money to carry out their farm murders.

That sounds like solid evidence, a guy said to a guy.

If I say to a guy that my dog had sex with Trump, will Trump get investigated?

Yip. That I can understand from you.

Why not lay charges against him at a police station? If there are merits to the claims, I'm pretty certain it will be investigated. I bet ANC would love to see EFF collapse. It can't be that difficult.

What has been recorded is the guy saying to another guy. Not Malema saying it.

It would never hold in court.

who taking the recording to court?

the investigation has to happen first, court might come later.

The investigation will reveal that Malema denies saying that. The guy will say that Malema said that.

It’s word against word, it cannot lead to anything by definition.

The interview with the gang member was recorded, not the gang member's chat with Malema.
Might want to reread if you're gonna call people out...
Anyway, there Is no way that would be true. Malema ain't that stupid.

Point is not what is actually going to happen in this case. I know in my heart that Malema is capable and are fueling directly or indirectly these farm murders to achieve his goals. There is no other reason for this spike in the last decade.
