Farm Attacks

At this point I would go as far to say police involvement should be considered treason... shoot the f-ers in public.

Nigel farmer attacked with pick-axe handle, burnt body found next to vehicle

A farmer in Nigel died after he was assaulted and his vehicle set alight, badly burning him in the process, according to officials on Friday.

The 44-year-old man, identified as Johan Pretorius by Netwerk24, was believed to have been hit with a pick-axe handle several times over the head and suffered blows to his body at around 19:30 on Thursday, said Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Johannes Ramphora.

He added that Pretorius apparently tried to run away but ended up with burn wounds. Police are investigating whether he was in the vehicle at the time.

Monitor 24 Security owner Deon Pretorius (no relation) told News24 they received a call that a bakkie was on fire.

Why cant you defend yourself?
Because it's illegal to harm the attackers in any way unless all the arbitrary checkboxes are checked. People have even been charged with attempted murder for firing warning shots into the ground....

Also it's both more expensive and generally impossible to get a firearm every year, some people have the process take up to more than 2 years for a simple handgun.... yes it happens, endless delay tactics inherent in the process. A handful actually get their new licenses within 6 months.

Everything you have said now is utter kak

Dude, you really think this kinda thing makes the news? Ever?

You make wild claims and have no proof to substantiate any of it?

Again, when has someone been charged with attempted murder for firing a warning shot? Or or you just going to continue spewing crap?

The first time I heard about this was more than a decade ago.... hardly a wild claim by now. Most of the things you hear about privately don't make the news. If you don't hear similar you either know the wrong people or you do and are not trusted.

So no googling wont produce any results because a lot of this NEVER makes it online in the first place.

So no proof then.

Cape wine farmer’s widow ‘to get R3.5m’
Cape Town - The widow of wine farmer Stefan Smit, who was shot execution-style on June 2 while having supper at his Stellenbosch wine estate home, stands to receive around R3.5 million. A reliable source confirmed that Zurenah Smit, 53, was the beneficiary of millions from life insurance polices that had left her “well cared for”. “Stefan definitely did not cut his wife off financially,” said the source, adding the exact amount of the payout was being calculated.

Zurenah was allegedly making tea in the kitchen when her husband was shot in the head and chest by four home invaders, who burst into the Louiesenhof wine estate home through an unlocked door. The couple’s dinner guest, 71, whose name is being withheld after she complained to Weekend Argus that identifying her would place her life in danger, was allegedly the only eyewitness to the shooting.

The guest disputed police reports that the attackers were wearing balaclavas. “They were not wearing anything over their faces,” she said, declining to comment further

So 10 years ago, in a crime stricken country and there is not one news article(by the media who loves to distort facts) on this over a span of 3650 days?

So let me explain this to you, if you catch a criminal with your bicycle, the police get involved, you say "the guy stole my bike", the police can't just throw him in jail for a decade, they must investigate first and their investigation finds it likely he did it, it goes to court. Obviously the criminal can say something else and the police must investigate that, or must they just take his word and throw you in jail for 20 years?
