Maybe it's procedure. Police are also tired of these thugs. I wish everyone could heed the call and respond with force whenever they can.

No, there are too many instances of cops being racist thugs that you don't hear about in the media. Word of mouth gives the cops in some areas a certain reputation where being arrested is best done in front of witnesses and driving after dark and being pulled over gets you raped and assaulted.... sometimes the cops are thugs too.

In other areas cops are more trustworthy.

The few cases you actually hear about are the minority because people don't have the funds for lawsuits or they are too scared.... but people warn each other.

Though I have noticed that it's not only racist incidents any more and in some areas the cops have basically become organized crime and they do this now to everyone.

EDIT: the ANC now has a problem where a large percentage of the police force are EFF members.

It's not normal, standard procedure is to open an inquest docket which gets referred to the local state prosecutor. Arresting the victim is out of the ordinary, this smells of politics, something is horribly wrong here.

I'm sure more information will be revealed but if the guy was indeed stabbed as per initial reports for which there should be medical evidence then I'm at a loss for words.

Thank heavens they're not NP members anymore.
 
The above news 24 article indicates te guy is still in hospital and just under police guard. Not exactly thrown in a cell.
News24 makes no mention of addition people that Maroela media mentioned.

Maybe let's wait for more details? It sounds like there are inconsistencies. Hopefully sanity will prevail and the truth revealed.

FACT: He's under arrest.
FACT: If he wasn't in hospital, he would be in a jail cell.
FACT: His lawyer has said there are no inconsistencies in his story.
OPINION: SAPS (not all) have a racist agenda.

I'm not on either side. It's his lawyer after all. My comment is based on what I read in the article. I think he can sue if police falsely accuse him of murder?

They've disabled copying on their pages, you need a browser extension like reader view etc to copy stuff

Who has the money for that?

Moral of the story: Shoot yourself in the head after shooting your attackers.
 
Looks like this farmer and maybe some others on the scene, turned the tables on these attackers and maybe just shot them dead/executed them?

Only thing I can think of?

If I ever had to shoot and kill an intruder in my house....I would think long and hard about just dumping that body somewhere and keeping quiet about it....
