Farmer electrocuted by insect catcher

Got one of the industrial insect catcher in the kitchen ,that thing is serious .
Love the sound when a fly gets caught, but it also has sorted a few gechoes .
Visitors shyt when they hear this thing klap .
Got klapped from this thing a few times while it was off and i was changing the UV tube .

Something must have been faulty. Those units have very low amps, not near enough to harm a human.

Also, why bring up the fact he was a farmer? If it was an accountant or street sweeper would they have used that title?

Maybe to draw in the numbers, sensation to convert sales/views, drawing in on the early murders in the new year and the three killed in Free State.

Fudzy - that is worrying. I have often seen food stores with zappers in the butchery / bakery area. A "bug" mist of 2.1m would definitely get onto food they prepare.

Snap, what about kitchens at take away places.

I sold these things as a student to earn some pocket money. No way that it can kill you if it's not faulty. It gives you a nice zap, but nothing painful.

Are you talking about the battery or mains powered one?

Let's hope the insect catcher is not black, otherwise Sunette & Steve...

Now watch the ANC come with "rules and regulations" pertaining to installation, ownership and use of these things...

Probably one of those blue light/high voltage bars that zap the insects. RIP.

It may be, but then the things wasn't properly earthed or when he grabbed onto the insect catcher an cable pulled loose pushing electricity through the chassis. Don't know... only my suspicion.
