Fatness tracker

Thanks for the feedback. The Vivoactive is a bit more expensive than the tomtom... Is it worth the extra do you think? (R209pm vs R139 pm)

Have to be honest. I never even compared the TomTom because I had a bad experience with a faulty GPS years ago. Perhaps short-sighted when I look back at it now. But oh well. It's done.

I also used my eBucks and eGifts24 hack to get the Garmin when it was on BlackFriday special for R2999.

But from what I understand the steps, HR and sleep tracking is pretty much on par with all 3 brands. In the end it probably comes down personal preference with app usage and also build quality and added value like waterproofing, GPS and battery life.

Cool man, thanks for the feedback.
For me, buying through FNB is a winner because of the private wealth ebucks rebate...(long may it last)

R2999 is a damn good price :D

On FNB deals the Garmin Forerunner is probably the best option and price is decent

Thanks for the feedback - what makes it better than the Tomtom? I see it only has a 1 year warranty, tomtom has 2...?

fokkit and now I see Tomtom pulled out of the wearables market.

There's just no easy choice here.

I won the TomTom Touch and am not very impressed.
The strap broke within 2 months and cost R350 to replace. Also the software is a bit fiddly, not always syncing properly etc.
I've given it to my SO who clocks up over 10k steps a day and earns me vitality points :)

The Huawei /Fitbit thing is crazy. I think they also didn't work on the P9.

I'm not if this is Huawei or Fitbit at fault, but they need to fix it. Huawei are the world's second largest maker now

Heads up for those interested.

Takealot has the Garmin VivoSmart HR on special for R999 today.

They also doesn't work with Huawei ... Guess we know where the issue lies :(

**Garmin is aware of an issue with Huawei model phones where Garmin devices will not pair with our mobile apps.* We are investigating this issue and hope to have a solution soon.*

NOOO!!!! I missed this :(

Which in hindsight was a good thing - Multiply is selling it for R750.

Mobile pulls up R3,799?
Different on a desktop?

There's a different Garmin on takealot today.

I just got my Tomtom runner 3, and it's synced with my p10 lite ......

I'm pretty impressed with multiply. Not only is the price pretty insane, they delivered this morning already. Wifey and I are enjoying the early Christmas gifts.
