ok, this is a weird 1st for me...

I bought myself a 25pack LG CD's from CNA about 2months back,
for some odd reason 2 CD's are not readable and basically I have faulty discs...

any1 know how if it's possible to hold a case against LG????
or will they just try and say i damaged them.... :(

no point in going to CNA, cos the pack has been opened and used a good couple...

basically cd's are never faulty i hav never ever had one!!! when its failed before it has always been the cd writers fault, try the cd in another drive and use different program to write the cd's

That is incorrect.
Also CD's are consumables (meaning no guarentee)

check for an updated firmware for ur drive, might be a disc manufacturer incompatibility with the drive, not uncommon

A couple bad discs in a pack, not too uncommon. TDK and Sony seem to be the worst affected in my experience. Try sticking to Verbatim or even Intenso (if you can find them).

I usually get a couple of bad ones but i use a hundred or so at a time (clients and back-ups)

I got told in a computer shop recently that 5% failure is to be expected in a pack of CDs! :)

Whether that is right to accpet or not I have found at least a few 'unreadables" in each box I have bought. At under R2 a CD I usually find it not worth the effort to try and "sue".

always buy Verbatim. They're the best and working with anything.
I always buy verbatim. :)
