Faux news caught lying... again

Huffington morons have done there fair share of lying. IRRC they showed a doctored video supposidly of a FOX presenter referring to Eric Holder as a monkey with a "bright blue scrotum". Yes another right wing racist.... except it was fake. Playing the race again just like the lemmings like it. They thought they'd get away with it lol :rolleyes:

Reread what I saw very very slowly. Specifically this bit:

The Huff is pretty critical of Obama. Which is good. They commend him when he does something good, they nail him when he does something dumb.

If perhaps I am not making myself clear Ill simplify my statement to a lower common denominator. The say good and critical things about Obama. (IE... they dont just say good things, and they dont just say bad thing). If you read the Huff instead of just relying on Digg headlines...you would know this. If anything it shows that people on Digg are pro Obama and want the non-critical stories repeated more.

I totally understand if you dont find interest in the topic and dont want to talk about it, but you should totally understand that others find interest in the topic, and do want to talk about it.

No, I love my news channels, I like watching various point of views and watch Al Jazeera often to get their side of things, I just don't see the logic in a thread about a news channel we can't even watch?

Where do you watch Fox news?

Mostly online, though it is on the satellite channels here as well. I am currently in Manila.
 
You could argue that even the world's worst fascist dictators at least meant well. They honestly thought were doing good things for their countries by suppressing blacks/eliminating Jews/eradicating free enterprise/repressing individual thought/killing off rivals/invading neighbors, etc. Only the Saudi royal family is driven by the same motives as Bush, but they were already entrenched. Bush set a new precedent. He came into office with the attitude of "I'm so tired of the public good. What about my good? What about my rich friends' good?"

Before I get accused of being some right wing fox supporter or whatever I'm not. The only time I ever see / read Fox stuff in threads like this. I choose BBC news, Seattle times and NY times as my primary daily source for international news, and all those I take with a pinch of salt.

This seems particularly stupid and short-sighted. Whatever you may think of them, give them credit for not being total morons (it’s not SA). As if they didn’t know it wouldn’t be scrutinised closely by other news stations. It wouldn’t be difficult to demonise an opposing station with the resources that the average news station has at its disposal. Create a false but tasty rumour that you KNOW the opposing news station would leap-at (exclusive scoop). Make sure their news sources pick it up. Crow in triumph when the opposing news station takes the bait. Accuse them of lying. QED.

LOL! As a history teacher, I use clips from various stations to show my students how to pick up bias in reporting.

Funny how FOX manages to slide in their own anti Obama/anti left nuances into every report, where the others tend to try and report it as it is.

If my students can pick up bias, it amazes me how blind those leaning to the right can be....
 
Shame poor students getting brainwashed. Hope they're not 7 year olds :erm:
