AFAIK, you cant.
AFAIK, you cant send(or recieve) faxes on any 3G device.
AFAIK, all you can do is recieve faxes to an email address, using a free 3rd party fax to email provider.
I suspect it's possible to do with a Huawei E620 and custom s/w that AFAIK does not exist as yet.AFAIK, you cant.

Using an E620 and [AFAIK] the HMC dashboard and a headset, one can make and receive voice calls, so it should be possible for some fax software to replace the human at the E620 side of the call.Still with custom software, the E620 doesnt have a fax dialing tone, so it would be impossible. Or does it have?

Do the E620 and HMC have a weird dialtone? But isnt the Voice dial tone also different from the Fax dial tone?
Huawei have assured me the E620 can send faxes, in fact when queried, the card reports that it is capable of sending faxes, the Windows XP fax service is even happy to be installed for this device, but I have never been able to send a fax. I've tried getting an answer from MTN without success, at one point they enabled a "enhanced fax & data package" for my SIM card, but I never got around to testing it as I switched to Vodacom.Using an E620 and [AFAIK] the HMC dashboard and a headset, one can make and receive voice calls, so it should be possible for some fax software to replace the human at the E620 side of the call.
I've never heard a dial-tone on a cellular network. You do however get distinctive ringing, which I think can be enabled for Telkom ISDN lines. It allows compatible fax machines and answering machines to decide which device will grab an incoming call as different types of incoming calls (voice, fax & data) will ring differently. But isnt the Voice dial tone also different from the Fax dial tone?
Now that you mention it, neither have I.I've never heard a dial-tone on a cellular network.
