Hi,

I am looking for recommendations for a feature phone (aka old fashioned button phone) for my Gran. We tried a Nokia 105, but it was a bit small. An ITel seems to have poor reception (no reception during loadshedding).

So, in short, what is a feature phone you can recommend with great reception, and not locked to Vodacom - MTN has better signal in our place.

Thanks

Thanks, these look good, albeit a bit expensive. How do you find the reception of the phone? We are in a very poor reception area. Ie how do you think it would compare to a nokia 105?
The reception is good for where she stays, and she used it in other areas without issues. I didnt check the signal strength in the areas though and I have never used a 105 So I cant tell you sorry

For a feature phone, most of which cost around R200-R400? Not R1,500!
It all depends on how easy it is to send smses and make calls. If those 2 things are exactly like any other phone, I have to agree with you.

You should try the Nokia 215. A feature phone that just works. I think it's about R350.
