Hi folks

There has been a significant increase in traffic during February. While it was a shorter month than January, the hits/page views still increased by 17%. A more realistic growth figure is given by the average daily page views: 30% growth. Here are the traffic details for February:

Unique visitors: 23210
Pages: 1350118
Hits: 3936227
Bandwidth: 15.94 GB

Thanks a bunch to all of you that regularly visit MyADSL/MyBroadband. It is you guys that make this a great place to hang around! We are certainly becoming a true force in the broadband arena (when Telkom’s CEO is quoting us as an authority it says something :-)! Thanks as well to Afrihost for their continual sponsorship of the rather high bandwidth usage.

Regards,

RPM

Hi Adlo

The vast majority of hits come from SA…only a few percent (between 2 % and 5 %) come from overseas. US, UK, Europe and Australia accounts for most of our international traffic.

BTW: Firefox stands at 23.2%!

RPM

WOW!!!!

And it is now 02h48 in the morning! Nice to see some night owls.

Cheers

A nice steady upturn in the hits/month are always welcome ;)

Thanks to Afrihost, rpm, and the other forumites [love that word]. This is one of only 4 sites I visit daily [including my own], and certainly one of the most interesting.

hehe, well I was not far off then last month when I predicted 4.1 million for February, how bout another MP3 player rpm. *g*

Seriously though, Once again well done to rpm & his team of moderators, many thanks to Afrihost for their support of the South African Broadband Community.

As always the biggest thanks goes to the forumites posting away and spending hours contributing information/views/rants/drunken ideas/teasers/opinions/junk and everything else that keeps my entertained and coming back. :D

Nice one !

A growing sign of a trend amongst regular net users.

Nice one on the hits !
At this rate, you can soon make a fortune from those pop-up and pop-under ads ! :D j/k

(btw, I did catch a "bandwidth limit exceeded" outage yesterday - unsure why nobody else noticed it.)

Well I have been late into this Firefox thing - I d/l it yesterday and I have enjoyed alot.

- Tabbed browsing [I love it]

- Web pages appearing faster [timed it with IE - faster by like 2-4secs....whoa!]

And I'm never going to turn back to IE except for those good old Windows Updates....

Hey - it's good to see another person understanding good software when they see it !

It's just so much better than IE in all ways.
Of course, your going to come across the odd website that firefox has issues with, because it's been coded solely for IE, but by and large, it's not enough to make a real dent in user experience.

Try some extensions : Tools -> Extensions and then click on the "get more extensions" link.

Hi BB_Matt

You are absolutely correct. Luckily Afrihost was quick to solve to problem :D

16GB!!!! Glad I' not YOUR host!! ;)
Nice to see MyADSL/MYBB becoming more popular every day, it certainly should! Well done as usual rpm ;)

Hi Broo

Windows: 93.7%
Linux: 2.3%

Mad: It is indeed noble of Afrihost to host us in SA! And then there is always the excuse 'it wasnt me, it was IC' :D

Regards,

RPM

Hi IC

On a more serious note, it is because of members like you that MyADSL has become ‘SA’s Broadband Voice’ (thanks U_S). The more activity the broadband providers see over here, the more they will listen to our communal voice. And don’t forget…the more hits we get, the more we can ask for advertising, the more money we have for more BW etc! I think we might just have to pay you soon for your activity on this forum :D

Regards,

RPM

Fraziers Razor pointed to MyBroadband in M&G today. Anybody pick up on that?
