sry but ive always frowned on the felguard as the noobies pet
ive been affliction since tbc and have raided since aswell
once i hit the spell hit cap ...or close ill spec pve destruction for the

Actually, the Felguard is one of the hardest pets to use in terms of raiding. A FG Lock will have to approach an encounter from a melee and caster perspective. And surprisingly, the FG will keep up with an Afflock in terms of damage. Unfortunately, this is one of the only PvP specs, along with SM/SL. I will always be an Afflock at heart. Pity Tier 6 favours Destruction.
well for me for endgame raiding: aff or a really well geared (practically max +hit and lots of +crit) destro spec is the way to go.
For PVP i'd either get a felguard spec or try out SL/SL for arena.
At lvl 70 you can still solo like a king with Aff. Especially once you get you frozen shadow weave set (what you're not a tailor?) I'm running around outlands dotting up 5-6 mobs at a time then just draining the last mob i dotted to keep my health topped up. Don't even use fear.
Or for anything below lvl 50 i send in my VW to just round up every mob in sight and pump out the SoC on about 4-5 mobs (how ever many i can cast before 1 goes off) and it's instant death for about 12+ mobs (lower lvl instances are a joke using this method)
