Felguard dps + crit =)

This video was posted in January 2007. If you have read the past patch notes you would have noticed that the Felguard's DPS was significantly reduced. It cannot do this type of damage.

BTW, a Hunter's pet will do 400DPS raid buffed whereas a Felguard only 150. :rolleyes:
 
Having no idea on Lock raid builds, how effective is demo for raids compared to afflic/destruction

Demo has the potential to do decent DPS, even out DPSing Affliction in some situations. It is only effective after getting the Tier 5 2 piece set bonus (which heals the pet for a percentage of the damage the Lock does).

However, many fights are not pet friendly and a Demo Lock needs to approach a fight from a melee and caster perspective.

Destruction is only viable in end game (MH upards).

or more correctly a DS SnF loc, some ppl think that desctruction pve locs dot and conflag etc
all we do is spam SB xD

Correct, It was greatly nerfed shortly after this vid came out, however she was running around with the black book that made it even more imbah. This pet needs a buff again

Wrong! When raiding, My Felgaurd fully buffed(Me Inculded) has about 1.5k ap without Demonic Frenzy and 2.2k with Demonic Frenzy.. Now my pet puts out about 280dps on melee friendly bosses(Still hitting a level73 boss and getting glancing and misses etc) Only the BM hunters pets keep up in DPS

What is your raiding dps specced Demo?
 
280 DPS from a Pet just isn't Raid viable IMO.

Thats not even a third of my own DPS and I'm there more for my Buffs then my DPS.

While specced 6/44/11 i put out 900dps in my raiding gear now add the pet to that and tell me its not viable.. Its much harder raiding as this spec than other warlock specs, but its fun imo.. He buffs me up and does really nice damage. Now while im specced 0/21/40 i put out 1400dps on non shadow vulnerable mobs, but thats just mashing Shadow bolt and thats boring :D

What do you meen by Keep up? It would imply that BM hunter pets does less dmg than the fell still? As my ravager pet does 350-450 dps throughout an entire raid and peak at ~500 dps at melee friendly bosses, I find this quite hard to believe.
 
yea well, it all depends on the gear am i right.... If your gear is decent.. Its gonna be higher. The raids ive been in our hunters are probably not as geared as you then ;) but your right, ive not seen 500dps peaks from my pet.. imo thats pretty damn imba. I mean ... 500dps from a pet.. Thats just crazy. Buff felgaurd imo :)

If you're putting out 900 DPS then I suppose 280 from your pet is still Raid viable.
The problem is where is your raiding utility with a build like that?
Surely with gear like that you;d do better as Affliction which isn't as Rollface as Demo.

Yea sure, id offer a bit more utilitly and require a bit less healing(Dark Pact instead of Life Tap) But we already raid with 3-4 warlocks anyway and they bring plenty of utilitly, we even have a lock that raids with malediction <3. I do however have ISB which on its own is pretty decent

but like i said.. Im a PvPer, they know this and have NO issues with me raiding as felgaurd, i more than do my part in raids
When i have a few days that i dont do PvP or whatever i spec 21/40...
