I still think the felguard is a damn cool pet, lots of fun in instances if you know how to control him.

What is a viable DPS for raiding kara anyway?

Ok ill agree that they are fun, yes. Viable however ,no
Felguard is pretty much the worst thing u can spec ur loc imo
I find that they fail to find their place in wow. They may be useful in BG but id rather run around doting the bejeezus out of any1

In arena y spec felguard when theres SL/SL and the concept of arena and survivability are quiet defined with the introducing of resilience
And a felpup is way more usefull in arena and bgs

And raiding with a felguard, well ive neva bothered to try

But yes they were fun ,pre TBC and when the new talents were introduced xD

Heh, well there are worse specs than felgaurd, but i do tend to agree.. There are much better raiding specs

I was specced for SL/SL while playing 2s, its really boring and i mean REALLY boring. The thing is im specced this way for 3s and 5s. Having the felgaurd leaves me alot of room for doing random things like keeping CoT on the healers and ele shamans, fearing people etc etc. Its like a fire and forget spell(Felgaurd really hurts anyone wearing anything less than plate) and i have better controlled DPS. Say for example that our mage is being FFd. That leaves me room to put all my dots down on our FF target and start throwing 2.5 sec shadow bolts at him(Theres no bane in SlSl so SBs are outta the question), which is a huuuuge amount DPS, especially if im BloodLusted. See the thing with SL/SL is your specced to outlast your opponents, NOT to DPS. SL/SL's DPS is very low. In 5s SL/SL is pretty much dead, if you look at the top teams in most teams that have a lock youll see that they use a spec very similar to mine.And i still Have Soul Link and 492 resi, which gives me really high survivability, all i lose out on is siphon life. Hope this explains it

Yea, i picked mine up at level 57, Very easy to level with them
