Fellow Beardsmen!

I started growing one as well.

Recently got a cleansing bar, some oil and a boar bristle brush from these guys: www.bonafidebeards.com

Been washing it once every other day and applying oil in the mornings and at night.

I've already noticed a big difference in how awesome the beard is looking.

Psh, can't send photos in PM

Oh....

if they have to shave because of the heat they don't deserve the beard ......

Damn straight.

Do people shave their heads because it's summer / hot? No. Like your hair, your beard traps a layer of air that helps with temperature regulation. Keeps you warm in winter and keeps your face cool in summer. :D

The last time I was clean shaven was in 98. But a nice comb/brush for a cheek curtain is a must

Why would anyone need a youtube video?

Steps to maintain a beard:

1) Stop shaving.
2 (optional) Trim from time to time.

The end.

All this "natural chemical free soap or coconut oil soap" and "beard oil" is bull****.

If it gets dirty, wash it. If it gets unruly, cut it. That is all you need. I've had a beard for 10 years; I've never used anything but ordinary soap; and never needed anything but that.

And you probably look like schit, well done

Some good oil from time to time is good for the beard and underlying skin, no "made specifically for beard" oil necessary but some beard specific oils have a nice formulation and smell and seeing you use a tiny amount maybe why not just get price gouged..

Maintenance all depends on the individuals beard, some need more effort than others, nothing else to it.
