Female run offices...

Hello BBers.

Just got done at a client listening to hours and hours of drama. This is the reception for quite a large veterinary clinic. All receptionists are female. Managers female. Owner Female. The sh*t that comes out of this place.... I just dont know.

So give me your success stories regarding all female office or work environments. Ive heard backstabbing, group collusion, THEFT (yes) , stealing of boyfriend... , holy sh*t. I just cant anymore.

Please tell me they not all like this.

Before the usual D-bags come and claim sexism and bla bla bla, this is really just an opinion pole to restore my faith in the workforce.
 
generally woman run kitchens like tuck shops ,work quite well, from my experience.

What makes you think that any of the above is unique to or more prevalent in a single-gender environment? Plenty of offices environments can be toxic, seen examples of all of that kind of stuff at various places I have worked.

Personal experience. I am involved in workplace investigation (broaden the term) , and I find in female environments things are far more dicey than male. Again, just personal opinion. those getting triggered I am sorry, no offense.

What size businesses are these? Am surprised that there are any exclusively male of female work environments left these days...
 
Hmm don't have any, can tell you loads of bad stories though. especially female run steel suppliers, absolutely atrocious though apart from the lesbian female run steel merchant across the road which is run very very well.

Loads of small to medium size workshops in industrial areas are still entirely male operated, apart from the occasional admin lady or receptionist.
 
I was contracted to a design/publishing/editorial type setup run run by and staffed by only women and it was actually not bad at all.

But being the only man to come through the doors often enough they want to eat you alive, which is nice up to a point.

On the flipside I helped setup a similar arrangement on another occasion that started out all female and later introduced gay guys only which may as well be much the same thing really and all it was day in and day out was drama and drama and drama.

Ultimately I think the sex has little to do with it and bad management is bad management.

Contractor , so all sizes. I do corporates as well as branches or single entity business' . This morning just blew my mind though. The pettiness of it all. Not gonna disclose anymore than this.... but wow.

I'm in complete agreement with you. And not even only female, but mostly female environments as well. Pettiness, bitchiness and lots of gossip.

He did kinda slot himself nicely into the last sentence of the original post... Not at all what was intended by this thread either. I just couldnt believe the levels i experienced. Mayeb just local to this particular scenario but I tend to notice this trend alot. Happens with men too. just seems more prevalent on the fairer side.

Yeah but he wasn't posting an opinion, he just came to wine, regardless of what the OP said about not trying to be sexist.
 
I have heard a couple of females saying they don't like working with other females. It is hectic. Personally I won't know. In general females handle issues, pressure and problems different to men. A female only environmental... Wow.
