He contacted me today .... sounds like they haven't gone to a police station or anything as yet.

He seemed to try a thinly veiled blackmail attempt by saying that 'he doesn't want to be kids about this and rather settle like gentleman without police etc ... as the lady in the car with the driver is a witness to me being guilty'

Was happy with 50% oh her dent if I paid the rest - until I mentioned that my car is damaged too so we have to add that into the calculation and then do the 50%. Said he wants to see the damage ... so we'll wait until he comes forward again

A passenger in the vehicle involved in a accident cannot be a witness.
Give them your claim details etc and ignore by saying your insurer won't allow you to communicate with them.

That doesnt sit for freeway driving. Moving into the next lane in front of someone is not overtaking.

Tell them to talk to their insurance company.. and that your insurance company has instructed you not to communicate with them.
