I am kinda surprised about the kinda dps i push out as a cat.
I out dps rogues with full epic gear and i still only have craftable epics blues and 3 epics from TOC even still have a level 70 item.

I just wana know have you guys ever raided with feral cats that know how to play what kinda dps do they pull off in raids.

I have not really raided much in WOTLK.

if you get your rotations spot on and keep all your dots up you can push out 4k+ but I couldnt be arsed cos I rerolled druid to tank now I have to kitty dps all the time so I just keep mangle up

Kitty DPS is good but you need a good tank as well as no idiot DK's. On HC's I usually end up 2nd, but I managed to get to 1st a couple of times. I only have a few epic drops and the rep items as well as the conquest token gloves and amulet.

I once had a pug where the tank kept moving about. This caused trouble for my positioning and I had to rely on mangle rather than shred for the main attack. As for DK's, it's irritating when they use army of the dead, because the zombies take aggro, causing the boss to change direction every second. Makes it impossible to shred well.

A nice addon to use is Feral by night. You can get it from curse. It has the same functionality as Facemauler, but with timers for your attacks and trinkets (both active and cooldown). It also shows tanking tips, so you can use it for bear as well.

I dunno hey, I used to play a rogue, topping DPS easily. Nowadays it is not that easy. Did daily HC last night, only dpser above me was a feral druid. So it is true they are going crazy right now. It is not the same in 25man raids though, there buffs take over and rogues tricks each other for dps boost in which case druids don't keep up but get very close.

As for that, I don't play my rogue that much anymore so I won't be surprised if he is completely outgeared by now. In other good news, my pala got level 80 epics from ToC last night and she is still only level 79, but her dps is already picking up. I find it far easier to dps on her than on a rogue, which is odd for a hybrid class...

Have to say I prefer tanking with my Druid...we have to many pally tanks on our real...every kid is one...

Would go kitty dps in PvP

A bit off topic. specced my 70 druid to feral the weekend, again! but anyhow, was surprised to see that dodge and crit were in their very late twenties. thats without any gems, enchants. only greens

Yea, they made t hose go high or your dps and tanking would really suck..My dodge is sitting at 38% on my 80 Druid...I went for more dodge than stamina..

You need a good tank to full rotation on your cat, especially with high armour penetration rating otherwise you will just aggro off the boss when you berserk. Cat DPS is only high for single target hardly moving fights, like XT. For other encounters, swipe just doesn't have enough energy to be used enough to really make a big impression, and running around trying to get behind your targets to shred takes up too much time. Cat is good, and will top some fights. If it's topping all of them it's not because they are OP, but because you are playing with people that dont know how to play their class.

So except for the druid's great dodge, what other abilities do they have to help them tank/avoid better?
