Why don't young people like bar soap? They think it's gross, apparently

Apparently, there is a serious ideological divide when it comes to bar soap and the people who put it on their bodies.

For one, bar soap sales are declining.
What was once a staple of our daily ablutions is being eclipsed by fancy-pants body washes and other cleaning options.

This is true. Although I don't think it's gross, I haven't used a soap bar in many years.

Even though shower gel is much more expensive, it's much more appealing.

We have only recently switched to hand gel, BUT that is because the QUALITY of bar soap has deteriorated recently.

And regarding the cleanliness of bar soap? If the bar soap is dirty it just means the cleanliness standards in the environment are poor.

the quality AND SIZE of the bar soap has gone down for what price? a little bit of shower gel goes a long way, and doesn't have filthy hairs and BS on it afterwards. Plus, can't drop shower gel unless you're drunk and miss your washcloth entirely...

99% of male prisoners reading this will not concur that liquid soap is better.
My mate Dave told me they switched to liquid soap because of the financial savings.

Have you seen the mess a gel makes if the bottle bursts on you on a long cross country 4 x 4 trip?? Gels are banned in our camping kit end of story.
