Fewer people are using bar soap.

99% of male prisoners reading this will not concur that liquid soap is better.
My mate Dave told me they switched to liquid soap because of the financial savings.

Have you seen the mess a gel makes if the bottle bursts on you on a long cross country 4 x 4 trip?? Gels are banned in our camping kit end of story.

Sorry but if you don't seal your stuff in a separate zip-lock bag, then you don't know how to travel/camp and kind of deserved it

Shower gels never seem to lather enough for me and I don't feel properly washed, unless you use a cloth/sponge/loofah but then if you're one of those that think using a bar of soap is icky you'd probably feel the same about that.

I think mymatedave should be one word.

I use various shower gels too, but my family knows you mess with my Pears I'm gonna have to cut you.

I'm practically addicted to the stuff, would probably eat it too once I manage to solve I the bubble-breath issue.

I remember Pears from yonks ago. Like 30 years ago.

My mother use to buy it and use it only for herself.

My facecloth became too soapy and 'slippery' when I used bar soaps in my younger years. I could never wash properly after that point. When we moved into a house that had a shower I only used shower gel after that, we never bought bar soaps before then. :o Plus, you don't need a container for shower gel when traveling! :p

As long as there are people with a passion for stuff that has not made its way through a factory conveyor belt, bar soaps will be around. This kind of art beats the fancy pants out of shower gel.
