Ok I was standing next to pole with a FF+ poster on it, with kids on it. The poster said "elke stem tel".

My thing is that the young people were all good looking

I would like to know why they are only showing nice looking thin kids. What about the fat amd pimple faced kids out within their. Most kids aren't good looking. This may not technically be against the constitution but ethically its wrong.

lol @ "fat amd pimple faced kids"

Luckily, I use only Intel and ATi........oh, wait..

It's just advertising bro, it happens everywhere. ever seen an advert of McDonalds featuring some fat idiot? perhaps with idiotic staff? nope.

If I could be as happy as the people on the Spur Adverts my life would be complete.

This isnt about burgers its politics and its about the future of the nation. Imagine how the poor "ugly" kids feel when they see that it makes them feel even more margininalised and not wanted the FF+. It shows a message that the FF+ is only for "good looking people". In effect it conveys a message that they cater for certain kinds of people. Our democracy is supposed to be beyond that kind of attitude.

oh so McDonalds is only for thin people?

They do this in all advertising dude - it's not supposed to make them feel worse, it's supposed to convey that "you too can be this happy and health"

do you think the pictures behind boardgames are supposed to make people with boring lives feel worse? now - it's supposed to convince you that you can be that happy when you purchase it, instead of being bored.

my point is, they don't cater for only good looking people, but if they showed unhealthy, starving and poor looking people then it would convey a non-positive message - that they won't change much if they win.

Oh God, get something else to whine about.
It's marketing that's all it is. Same with adverts for Loreal, Garnierre, Lux etc. Beauty sells.

Well, Zuma's posters are making me feel suicidal. I have always wanted to look like him. I have always wanted to make love as often as he does. I have always wanted to be above the law, as he is. No plastic surgeon/dermatologist is prepared to help me - what must I do? He is so clever and so big.... I'm so small.

But the zen is still out of balance! All the pretty people are wearing clothes!what about the nudists? We need some pretty nude people on the posters, then zen would be restored!

Goss I would kill for some hot naked ladies on posters. If the ANC had hot naked ladies on their posters then I would vote ANC,as you all know its not a mans brain that does the thinking its his...

FFS hasnt anybody got anything of value to say. I'm not talking about other parties, can't anybody stay on topic.

This should not be about marketing, a political party should not have to resort to cheap marketing tactics, they aren't advertising burgers, they are advertising our future!

I don't see any of the other parties doing this kind of thing on their posters. They have real people, and people who involved in the parties on their posters.

You raise an exceptionally moronic point and then complain that nobody has anything of value to add?

It has already been explained to you (very simply) that the posters would not appeal to voters if they used fat, ugly people on the posters.

This is the way of the world. Who votes FF+ anyway? If you don't like it, don't vote for them. I haven't seen fat, ugly people on the DA posters either. As for the ANC posters, I have only seen slogans and Zuma. You decide if he is fat/ugly enough to satisfy your requirements.

I don't think that the FF is even trying to hide the fact that they are a bit exclusive. On the other end of the political spectrum, there are "little" parties that are just as exclusive, you know, the ones that are fighting for a new Azania (or whatever). Not that you ever see them winning any major court battles. I suppose they are too caught up in "tradition", anyway. I think one of them used to be called the PAC. God knows what they call themselves nowadays. Funny, I don't notice any of their posters around my area. Then again, maybe I'm not paying enough attention to the millions of crappy political posters that are everywhere.... I can't wait for these bloody elections to be over. I hate *all* of those political posters and can't wait for them to come down.

Oops, sorry, I'm off-topic again.

Oh, the PAC are still around. Benny Alexander just won't die - ah, he's been replaced by Mfanelo Skwatsha. And, well, we all know where Patricia de Lille is these days.

They're electioneering, but not really fighting the good fight there days.
