Ok game has a samsung fhd 40" for 4699

They have logic and hisense as well. I know samsung is the way to go but are logic and hisense also fine for gaming. That extra 400 be put towards a 46" rather if hisense and logic are fine.

This is for pc gaming but i also want it to watch movies and so on but the biggest issue is gaming. I still have my hd ready projector for movies and so on. I would be using corel and photoshop on it as well.

Is makro cheaper than game? Makro's website is a disgrace to the internet.

Game also has a logic 46" fhd lcd for 5299.00 is that any good as the price is nice :D. I am going to cruise to game and makro tomorrow morning but i was hoping for info to ensure i make the correct decision as i am an impulse buyer which always leads to bad choices.

I don't think its a good idea doing corel/photoshop on such a big screen. Think about how far back you are going to have to sit with a 42/46. 2meters maybe? And how will that fit in with you room.

Great for gaming and movies, but for me 32' with a 800-1000mm wide desk would be the limit on size.

Investigate which tv will be best as a pc screen as some of the lesser brands have a slight delay on the hdmi interface which would be fine for movies, but would kill gaming for you.

As for brands... stay away from the crap.

I got a 40" from Hi-fi corp earlier this year for 3500 with a 5 year guarantee. I must say I am quite impressed with it.

Didn't seem you needed any since you already made up you mind on a whim. I would suggest to go and test it properly before you *just* take it, you can easily find FHD free clips on the web as well as try to actually sit down and play on it with a console to see if it's your preference. You will also have to take inconsideration how big the room is, how well lit the room is and how far you are going to sit from it before *just* deciding on a lcd/plasma/led. This is why I linked the thread as well as suggested that you pm PP, but as you said if it doesn't work you'd just give it away. Be sure to report back on how it actually worked in your room + blur if any :)

Not really but atheist said his is working fine. I really don't want to blow 5k on a 32". I read the thread but they basically say buy a 5k 32" :D.

What will happen with hisense, input lag? Ghosting? I won't just buy it i will go have a look at game, makro and hi fi corp. There is also a tv store in cresta with salesman who seem to know more than the game okes.

Not really what it said, but ok. I'd be getting the D6000 probably, it's 1K more from the D5500.

Apparently it's a kak brand. From comparison I'd rather get Sony, Samsung or LG. That was having them next to each other or by going to multiple shops looking at quality + blur. You can quite see the difference between a 50Hz and 100Hz+. Get some FHD clips that is lots of action/fast scenes, Sport and animation. Compare those 3 on the tv you want and if you can game on it. Seriously if the shop doesn't let you do that then rather skip them.

That is a bonus, only ones spoke to me had one thing in mind selling it and when I asked about MotionPlus there was just BlankPlus on his face.

In the end it's obviously up too you to make your final decision :)

I just thought that game could at least had the model numbers on the lcd/leds over just making them sound leet.

Guys for pc gaming response time and input lag are mission critical, I very highly doubt any of the no name brands will give you a good experience when some of the big brand panels are crap. Samsung 32D550 (SQ0x) seems like the safe bet for pc usage.

Killa, I recently got myself a Samsung 40D550. I use it for PC and PS3 gaming and Blu-rays and various media on my PC. Only regret I have is not getting the 46" version.

I love my 46" LED, but I don't think that they are good for photoshop and corel. Gaming and movies =

What make is it? Not a big deal if i cannot use photoshop and corel i can just use my current 23" and run a dual setup :D or sell both of them and buy a 27-30 inch for pc :p

there is a huge difference in picture quality between samsung/sony and the cheaper makes like logic/hisense/sinotec. I personally prefer plasma to lcd. have my samsung 42" hd ready plasma connected to pc through hdmi cable and its great
