Good morning

We currently have an LTE router at home, but the cost is quite high to download big amounts. I intend to buy red dead redemption 2 on PC, and it needs to be downloaded from Steam.

We are only two people and will mainly use the fibre for streaming on 1 tv and then to connect 2 cellphones to it via WIFI.

Any advice as to the recommended download/upload speed and which ISP would be best in your opinion.

What fibre offering are available for your physical address?

For normal usage like streaming I bargain for at least 2mbps per device for downloads. If you are gaming I would usually recommend a 20mbps/20mbps line. Just to save yourself the agro.

Thank you
I was looking at the 20/20 line. Seems like the best bang for buck

Depending on the amount of uploads you do you can look at the 50/5 with Vumatel its more or less the same price as 20/20, i am on 50/5 and more than happy, i do not upload too much so the 5 is more than enough, we use to be on 20/2.

Same, and now have taken advantage of Afrihost double speed promo, so am enjoying my temporary 100/10 speed until end Jan.

That makes sense. We hardly upload anything to the net. Thank you.

Just need to decide on a ISP now

I have a 20 / 2 fibre line. we use it for Netflix / dstv streaming on a tv. 3 phones and the cctv cameras and no buffering.

upload only used for emails every now and again.

Thank you, it's good to know
Go with Afrihost.

This is with the double data promo going. I normally have a 100mbs line, but it's now doubled.

This is while one 4k stream is running (watching a cooking show, yes, I'm learning to cook!), my wife on her phone, me on my laptop and my two kids on their phone playing Minecraft.
