Hello,

So at the moment I have a Telkom FTTH connection which is on a 2 month "trial" from them. Obviously I want to keep the fibre but want to move it another ISP.

[1] At the moment my area is still showing as "grey", would that prevent me moving my fibre to someone like Axxess? I assume that since I have active fibre it shouldn't be a problem.

[2] When it comes to voice on the fibre, I need to keep it as it is a requirement from the complex. They also have an intercom system that they are running over it. Do I keep paying Telkom for that, or does the ISP take the bill for the voice section too?

Thanks.

In theory if you have the line another account should work, as any Openserve line would.

WRT VOIP if the intercom is using Telkom copper phone lines, you would need to keep it. If it's an internal system then there shouldn't be a reason to keep the Telkom copper lines.

It's all over the fiber. When the Telkom guys activated the line they had to request data, voice and intercom.

Then it's dependant on the deal between Telkom and your complex.

Disagree, you can get an 010 number from the likes of Nexus.

We supply 010 numbers, if Telkom is supporting the PBX then I dont see how you would cancel the copper portion without losing functionality from the Intercom?

Hi PBCool,

I don't mean to be a pain but I haven't received a response from you for the queries that I sent you in PM.

I would appreciate if you respond and clarify things for me as.
