Fibre in Ramsgate

We all want fibre down here buddy. We sat almost 4 days in Tweni without ADSL last week. Exchange burned out.

Surprised they replaces it actually.

My address in Toti is blue so in coverage but on isp site I have no fibre coverage. Double check your address with a isp coverage map.

Its to do with them only offering business fibre until enough interest is shown to let them expand to ftth.
 
If you got lots of money check out the Vodacom coverage map to see their business fibre. If your house is next to the trenched fibre seems like they can connect you.

There is nothing other than Link Africa fttb here unfortunately.

I checked their map - are you sure it isn't wireless they are offering? There is no fibre in the areas the map says is covered.

Linked Africa? I contacted them late 2018 and they told me that they no longer offer FTH in kzn.

They haven't mentioned any of such, they just told us fttb is available and if there is enough interest they will expand to ftth.
 
Has there been any interest from ISPS , My aparents are in Ramsgate and they have been struggling to get decent internet?

Not really. Unless they can afford the premium of business fibre from Link Africa. Their best option for now is adsl or rain lte for the time being. Telekom lte is just rubbish

Thanks, Rain doesnt have great coverage for them sadly and yea Telkom LTE was so bad telkom refunded them half a year :/ and well Telkom refused to reconnect their ADSL after it was disconnected by telkom ...

Will check if Link Africa, even if its premium prices it will be cheaper than the MTN they are using at the moment :) Lets hope some one gets onboard for some fiber to the home, I know their entire area would get it :)
 
Another year down, x more to go before anything happens for us on the coast :notworthy:

I think its going to boil down waiting for Elon Musks Starlink to hit South Africa :/

Oh, is there perhaps a full plan somewhere? I'm particularly interested if they'll operate in Shelly Beach since I was assuming Openserve might've expanded if they went outside of just businesses and estates.

meh, only got the generic response to wait for the website to update, but alright I'll take your word for it and hope for the best
