Fibre installation issues

Hi

Placed order with Afrihost/Vuma on the 8th of Feb. Vuma were brilliant and by the 10th they have done their bit.
12 days and counting now. I am yet to receive the router ordered but have already been debited as if I am using the fibre.

Emails are not answered and calls to the Support Centre is not enjoyable at the moment.:mad:
 
Stay away from AH...Im with them at the moment and there are endless issues..data not carrying over..speed issues..takes them 40 minutes to.answer a call..false promises..Cant wait to leave and go to Cool Ideas.who I hear are brilliant!
 
I guess all the new support staff are working a treat......

Hi ruuns. It's great that your fibre was installed so quickly! I'm really sorry to hear about the delay with regards to your router delivery, though. :( We have actually been experiencing delays due to stock shortages which is the cause for the delay. Our Warehouse Team have confirmed that they received a large shipment of new routers yesterday and have already started sending them out. If you could PM me your account info I'll make sure that yours gets shipped today if it isn't en-route yet. :)

You won;t be charged for your line until it activates.

@ruuns, I am in the same boat as you Fibre line installed already BUT waiting for router :(

AfriMan trying to assist me....

Did you activate your Fibre via Clientzone? Support desk said after line installation I would be able to activate via clientzone by entering Object number but I dont see any field for this to be entered......
 
I send them an email response to the original order email. I got a msg that the router is packed and in pending dispatch mode.

You should be getting it today - or at the latest tomorrow. :) Keep an eye on your phone for contact from the courier.
 
I have received the router(preconfigured) but no internet....sigh. I can connect to it via wifi but I am not even able to access the router setup page as per the documentation. When troubleshooting I get the following:Unidentified network - No Internet Access.

sorted at last after a 40min call. had to reset and reconfigure everything.

I am a bit disappointing, placed my order before you on 6 Feb and from latest feedback it seems the courier haven't even collected my router from Afrihost :( So not sure how the process works, how is orders placed after mine delivered before me..........
