Hi all. So this is my first post here and im having a hard time deciding who to call exactly or what to do. I recently moved into a garden cottage in morningside and am looking at getting fibre now. It looks like they installed overheads(i think thats what you call it). How can i confirm if it is done installed ? Would they still need to dig or how exactly is it going to work. Any assistance would be much appreciated

If I remember correctly , Telkom and MTN are the options in morningside,.Sandton

Go to the openserve and MTN Smart village website to see if fibre is active in your area using their coverage maps. Alternatively, go to a site like Vox and plugin your address and they could possibly tell you what providers and packages you could sign up for.

I can see on afrihosts website that fibrehoods is available here. I also prefer the month to month, would digging be necessary if its overheads? Thanks for quick reply

Vumatel recently covered most of Morningside with aerial fiber. Some parts are activated other parts will go live soon. You can check the vumatel coverage map on their website to see if you're covered.

Telkom has limited spotty coverage around Morningside you can also see their coverage on their website.

Mtn also covers some sections of Morningside again you can also see their coverage on their website.

Hope this helps.
