Hi All

Can someone please help me, i need to find a new cable like this, my wife's cat thought it would be something nice to chew.

I'm in pretoria.

SC-SC single mode patch cord

More precisely, that's an SC/APC-SC/APC simplex single mode patch cord. The green connectors indicate APC (angle-polished connector), whereas blue connectors are PC (polished connector). SC/PC might just work with a bit of luck -- or it might not. It has only one fibre, so it's not a duplex patch cord, which has two.

No!!!!!! You will damage the connectors of the equipment, SC/PC is only to be used with other SC/PC cooectors. Only use an SC/APC

This is the cable that come with our Telkom ONT. We i might have one fore sale will have a look.

got the cable thanks guys.

when telkom installed the fiber they just pulled the black wire into my living room and put the splice box next to the wall.

so last night, in the process of trying to move everything to a saver location were the cat cant get to the new cable, the fiber cable going into the splice box snapped. so now i have to wait for telkom to come fix that. hopegully before the weekend, else no sport for me

still nothing from telkom.

anyone know anyone in the constantiapark area that might to able to do someone a favor and splice his fiber?
