Hi

I am looking a Fibre Router with the best possible wifi speed + coverage. Coverage being slightly more important than speed.

Cost isnt really a factor (according to the client)

Any recommendations?

A router alone might not give you the coverage you need.

Hi
need some help too. I got the Huawei AX3 too but the coverage drops dramatically when I move more than 4m

I wasl.looking at the tplink ax53 or ax23.
Do you think it will have a better signal strength ?

I'm no expert really. Do you still see the router from that distance? Because changing routers might not help if have a wall or something interfering with your signal. You can also use the Huawei app for this router to diagnose an issue.

So just get another AX3 and Mesh them.

Lowest cost for highest reward with the system you already have.

If you already have problems with an AX3 then another single router is just going to have the same issues. You need a multi access point mesh system to improve coverage, boosting the signal to the max from one side doesn’t help because the client device isn’t equally strong to send it back.

That makes complete sense.
My place isn't that big but does have thick brick walls.
Still hoping to get away with a single acces point solution.
The dlink that went bust did the job adequately though.

A single router will probably never give you the coverage you need. You'll probably need to go for a reasonable router with some sort of mesh or Ubiquiti extender. We have a decent Asus router but I had to get a wifi extender just because we got a new fridge which started blocked enough wifi signal to affect connectivity in our garden, so we needed something a few meters away to push the signal that little bit further.

I got the TP-Link AX20 for my folks and the range is pretty good.

It supports OneMesh so you can pair it to a supported extender like this to create a cheap mesh.

Might work out cheaper than going with a cheap router and a few mesh nodes...
