I prefer Dynamic IP, because a static IP would be easier to pinpoint if someone for example decides to fiddle about on the deepweb. It would also mean if you swipe a torrent flagged by authorities they would be able to identify you rather quickly. say you download a copy of something you're not supposed to. the fuzz can and will find you and then fine you.
This might have been covered but how do we ensure that we are part of the first wave? Is it determined by geographical location form the CBD?
My feelings exactly
it is concerning that trenching will start in two weeks time and nobody has called be from 123Net.
As i understand it the initial application was not binding and they would have to call me again to get a binding agreement in place.
My doubt of having fibre internet before the end of the year is starting to look very realistic.
I am jelly. Here is to hoping that it will happen here soon. We understand that trenching will take time, that is why we were surprised when you stated that digging will commence end sept and you hope to have the first customer connected by mid oct.
Would love to see where you start your digging and also would love to see where your streetbox will be, since by now I assume you already have all that planned?
The first customer that we connect will be the one that is closest to where we start trenching fromThe rest of the customers will be connected over the weeks and months following. I will try to get an update regarding where our digging will start from for you guys.
I have a scientific paper that I will forward to you , that proves the best place to start is in Ext 23.

I just realised that the footage above.. is a fibre installation at a customer's house.. Is it possible for us to check out speedtests and stuff done on that connection?

Good morning Myboom,
The trenching will take some time. When we are ready we will call customers to arrange their contracts. Please be patient!
In the meantime, have a look at what a 123NET fibre installation looks like at a customer's house![]()
