Fibre Sinoville, Pta

Today, three gentlemen from Seakomane / Seakomani / Seakomi (spelling?) Contractors, sub contractors of Telkom Ltd, came to my house to install fibre cabling along the Telkom poles in my street in Sinoville.

When I questioned one of the gentleman, he said to me the underground fibre work was completed within the last few weeks in Sinoville (perhaps my street only?). The final step required is the splicing of the wiring which is expected to occur Thursday or otherwise next week.

Quite chuffed!

Wasn't expecting fibre this year to be honest, but it seems the rollout is advancing. Pity Telkom's website still shows Sinoville / Annlin / Montana / Doornpoort only capable of ADSL...

Curious times we live in. Onward and upward

maybe in 2yrs time, those of us across the Apies, may actually see Fibre being rolled out

I'm very excited to see this role out in our area.

I spoke to some of the guys a month or so ago, and they told me we can expect connection as soon as late April, but I won't get my hopes up just yet!

I was also very surprised to see that they're installing fibre this side of Pretoria.
