Fibre/wireless problem.

Hi guys,

I'm a little stumped. We have a vumatel setup and use crystalweb as an ISP.

The connection to the ISP was created by plugging a laptop into the Vumatel CPE.

We have now installed a router with a wan port and can connect to the internet when plugged into router with network cable with that laptop.

The problem starts with the wireless. All devices can connect to the wireless but we cannot connect to the internet.

All the IP's are 196.212.*.* whether connected via cable or wireless.

Could it be that the mac address initially used to register could be the problem?

If anyone has a suggestion, please enlighten me.

Hi,

We identified this issue with a customer last night and have a solution. Hop over to our website (www.crystalweb.co.za) and live chat with an agent and they'll get you all hooked up and connected again on the new device...:)

I have informed the guys to expect your chat to come in, and have advised them which agent to route to who is well versed in sorting this out as well...

Sounds like the device is bridging the WAN side to the LAN, so your devices are receiving the public IPs.

Router not in bridge mode - we quickly sorted that one out. Was the first bit we had to sort out but still seeing some issues with getting this one to route correctly.

Thanks DJ. The problem has been resolved. Vader was sweating bullets but he solved the problem like a pro.
